Meet Terry Eckman!
New Vehicle Assistant Sales Manager, Shults Chevrolet
If you’ve visited our Chevrolet store, chances are you’ve crossed paths with Terry, our dedicated New Vehicle Assistant Sales Manager. Terry has been with the Shults team since 2001. After the birth of his daughter, he knew he wanted to make a career change from the tree and landscaping industry to better suite his family’s needs. Terry always had a love of cars, so shifting to the auto industry was a natural fit. He got his start with our company at Shults Fredonia Ford in December of that year.

“Working with the customers and seeing them truly excited about their purchase. That excitement fuels you and keeps you going. Building a customer base that trusts you and having them send the people in their lives to see you is an honor. People have different needs, trades, budgets, and being able to help someone that may be having a hard time makes it all worth it.
I’ve also loved seeing how the technology in these vehicles has evolved over the years. Watching that progress reminds me just how essential this industry is, it really is the backbone of so many parts of our economy.”
We asked Terry what has kept him at Shults all these years, he responded:

Terry was born and raised in Frewsburg, where he still lives with his wife, Nichole. Outside of work, Terry enjoys spending time with his six children - Alexandrea, Tyler, Dalton, Olivia, Landon, and Kacey.

Whether it’s hiking or simply taking in the mountain views, Terry and Nichole love spending as much time as they can outdoors. They’re also avid travelers and cruisers, their favorite cruise destination being Alaska. This past year, the couple opened their own shop specializing in new Amish made furniture, custom refinished furniture, and country home decor. They’ve absolutely loved crafting their own brand and creating something truly special for their family. (Shout-out to Country Charm Boutique!)
A fun fact you might not know - Terry once considered pursuing a music career in percussion! He hasn’t played in a while, but he’d love to pick it back up someday, and he’s confident his musical chops would return in no time!
Looking ahead to 2026, Terry’s goals remain rooted in serving his community:
“I am just looking to do the best job that I can and let the community know that Shults is their hometown dealership. You don’t need to travel out of town to find what you’re looking for. We want to keep building those important relationships with our customers, so they feel comfortable stopping by the store whenever they need us. There are no secrets, no man behind the curtain. We want to serve our community with convenience, honesty and transparency.”
We’re so thankful to have had Terry on the Shults team all these years. His hard work and dedication truly make a difference!
