After decades of proudly serving the automotive needs of the Jamestown & Warren communities, representing Buick, GMC Truck and Honda for a majority of those years, Hartley Buick GMC is now closed, but a new chapter has begun for me and my family.
I’ve decided to join the Shults Family of dealerships, effective November 28th, 2019. My new office will be at Ed Shults Chevrolet Cadillac located at 300 Fluvanna Avenue in Jamestown.
I’m extremely excited about this new opportunity for me and my family, but, most importantly, for you! I will continue to provide you the hometown Hartley service right here at Ed Shults Chevrolet Cadillac. Whether it’s buying a new vehicle, certified pre-owned GM vehicle, or high quality pre-owned vehicle, I’ll be right here day in and day out to continue providing you an exceptional buying experience. Not to mention a state-of-the-art facility with an exceptional sales and service team supporting me.
I invite you to stop in, enjoy a cup of coffee, and allow me to show you around and introduce you to the Shults Team! I encourage you to call our customer care center at 716-664-0165 to schedule your VIP appointment!
Joining the Shults team with me are Sindy Ackley, Paul Foster, Tyler Gilbert, and Mateo Riolo. We are all looking forward to seeing you soon!
William (Bill) Hartley
6 generations of local automotive families coming together at Shults Auto Group
“Since the early 1940s, the Hartley Family has been known as Service Minded People,” said William (Bill) Hartley, President of Hartley Buick, Inc., “and that’s exactly how it will stay.”
After serving the Jamestown community for more than forty years, across three generations, Hartley Buick GMC will close its business on December 3rd, 2019. Hartley Pontiac first opened in the 1940s in Girard, PA and opened Hartley Buick GMC in 1972 at 1505 Washington Street in Jamestown.
“I am ready for the next chapter of my career,” said Bill Hartley, “It wasn’t the easiest decision but Tim Shults and I have been talking about coming together for several years. Bringing the two teams together and repurposing the Hartley facility makes a lot of sense and will allow us to better serve our customers.”
“Our talented sales and service professionals have been working hard on the transition to bring our organizations together so we can continue the Hartley tradition of service,” said Tim Shults, President of Shults Auto Group.
“Continuous involvement and giving to the communities where we do business and where our own families live and work have been a foundation of the Shults Auto Group,” said Tim Shults. “Bill and my wife, Betsy Shults, are brother and sister; by coming together we will continue what both our families began in the 1970s: strong community involvement and high-quality customer service.”
Shults Auto Group employs more than 400 Southern Tier residents and offers a wide range of selections, representing 15 franchises located in Jamestown, Warren, Bradford, Olean, and Dunkirk. Joining Bill Hartley at Shults will be Sindy Ackley, Paul Foster, Tyler Gilbert, and Mateo Riolo. “Our team members are excited to welcome the Hartley team and their customers to the Shults Family,” said Tim Shults.
